Melamine

Carine kitchen Renovation

Melamine is a material used for doors and inside cabinetry. It is a strong material, made from compressed wood covered with resin and a plastic overlay. Melamine doors are durable, easy to clean and fairly resistant to scratching and abrasions. Melamine doors are made from 16mm moisture resistant quality MDF and there is also a waterproof MDF option for alfresco kitchens.

Melamine doors offer an extensive choice of colour. There is a wide range of decorative surface finish options and is available in rolled and square edged profiles. Because melamine is a synthetic material, it can be produced with an almost endless number of finishes.

Here are some of the feature melamine doors we often use, from a high quality melamine range called EVOLUTION –

  • Createc – ultra high gloss surface
  • Ravine – natural touch timber finish (embossed wood grain)
  • Legato – super matt, non reflective finish
