• Solid timber doors finish off a country or French provincial style kitchen. This is a beautiful way to incorporate a natural product in your home. Timber has great aesthetic value due to its grain, texture and colour, with natural patterns unable to be replicated quite the same way imitation wood-grain laminate. They also tend to hide dents and scratches better than a plain coloured doors such as laminate and lacquered doors and can be sanded back and refinished when needed. Solid timber can expand and contract, and thus buckle, with heat and high humidity or moisture, so a level of maintenance and care is needed.
